this was a perfect beginner book

As someone getting into cocktail making and mixology, this was a perfect beginner book. The "12 bottle" part is a little bit deceiving because sometimes it calls for funky ingredients but I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to make cocktails. It also includes a walk-through of the different classes of cocktails (sours, old fashioneds, slings, etc) and the history behind each recipe.

Great book for someone looking to get into starting a home bar. I was curious about trying some new drinks after having a new cocktail at a party. This book provides more than just drink recipes, but is interesting to read from cover to cover to learn interesting facts and the history behind some of the famous drinks. It also educates you on the lingo and different tricks of the trade. I strongly recommend for anyone looking for more than just a drink recipe book.
